Welcome to Edition Two of the Joyful Series. We had such a wonderful response to the first post and really appreciate your involvement in this project. It is the most rewarding part of our work. When curating images for this series we considered what make a 'joyful' image? What makes a great portrait for that matter? Trying to really pinpoint what makes a great portrait is almost like trying to figure out why it feels good when someone smiles at you. We believe this intangible quality of experiencing an image is what makes the magic. We think the following series illustrates this idea. What do you think?
